About us

The practice was founded in 1975 by Dr Harry Hunt who for several years was a single handed practitioner practicing from the top of Highfield lane. In 1984 he moved into Halesowen Health Centre before retiring in 1989.

Dr Jonathan Darby took over at this point and was joined by Dr Gillian Love in 1996. Dr Claire Halford was welcomed into the practice in 1998 and the surgery moved to its current premises in 2000. Dr Sarah Allen subsequently joined the practice in 2001.

St Margaret’s Well surgery was purpose built, and named after a nearby well which was located on the other side of Quarry Lane in the private grounds of a house. Drs Darby, Halford and Allen have retired from the Partnership and Dr Randhawa has now joined the Partnership Team.

The practice runs a general partnership with Dr Gillian Love (Senior Partner) and Dr Charanjit Randhawa (Partner).
